About EnamelGuide
An independent dental-health reference for people in the United States. Not a clinic, not affiliated with one.
Why this site exists
Most dental information online is written by someone who wants to sell you an appointment. EnamelGuide isn’t. We explain what a procedure involves, what it typically costs in the US, what the evidence says, and when something is urgent — so you walk into a dentist’s office already understanding your options. We don’t offer treatment, take bookings, or refer you to practices. The site is supported by display advertising and clearly labeled affiliate links, which never influence what we write. How articles are produced
Every clinical article is written to a sourced brief, cites primary sources — the ADA, NIDCR, Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, NIH/PubMed, AAE, and AAPD — and is checked by an editor before publication. Every article shows when it was last updated. Read the full editorial policy.Who's behind it
EnamelGuide Editorial Team
Founders & editors
EnamelGuide is researched, written and edited by a small independent editorial team in the United States. We are not dentists and we do not give personal advice: our job is to explain what the evidence and the professional bodies say, clearly and without a sales agenda. We have no financial interest in any treatment or practice mentioned on the site.
